VICE Guns

There are many different type of offensive gun type weapons in VICE, available for use in all units.

Small Pistol Caliber Gun (SCG):

This is the lowest caliber weapon available to INF units. It has the capability for both semi-auto and full-auto fire modes. SCG is intended for use in weapons that use pistol caliber rounds. (.22, .9mm, .45ACP, etc.). It has a maximum ammo capacity of 35, and must be reloaded once it is expended. Its range is limited.

Medium Rifle Caliber Gun (SMG):

The SMG has high offensive capability against other INF as well as some lightly armored vehicles, while being highly portable. It has the capability for both semi-auto and full-auto fire modes. SMG is intended for use in weapons that use rifle caliber rounds. (5.56, 7.62x39, .308 Win, 7.92 Kurz) It has a maximum ammo capacity of 35, and must be reloaded once it is expended. Its range is limited

Sniper Gun (SSG):

This is the highest caliber weapon available to INF units and delivers a high damage projectile that travels significantly faster and farther than other infantry weapons. It uses a semi-auto firing, with a short reload time in between each shot. It has an option to switch between short range and long range firing modes. Long range firing mode delivers a faster, longer bullet, but might not hit enemies that are too close, whereas the short range firing mode is suitable at hitting close range targets. SSG is intended for use in sniping weapons that use rifle calibers. (30-06, .300 Win Mag, .308) It has no maximum ammo capacity due to reload time.

Melee (MLE):

While not technically a bullet, the melee attack for INF hits only a short distance in front, and is intended as a last resort weapon.

Low Caliber Machine Gun (CMG):

The CMG is an intermediary machine gun that has firing power that rests between the INF based SMG and the vehicle based LMG. It can be used by both infantry and vehicles and fires in full auto. When used in INF weapons, the CMG may only be fired from a prone (sitting) position, and will not operate when standing or moving. In INF, it is intended as a squad based machine gun that must be deployed before firing, and provides rifle caliber fire support. The CMG has a high rate of fire, but has limited effectiveness against heavier armored targets. In vehicles, it can be best described as a Low Caliber Machine Gun. It has no maximum ammo capacity, but firing must be done conservatively, or else it will overheat.

Machine Gun (LMG):

The LMG is the primary machine gun intended for use in most light and medium attack vehicles and defensive weapons. It can only be used by vehicles. The LMG provides a significant amount of firepower along with its high rate of fire. LMG is intended for higher calibers. (.50, 12.7mm, 13mm). It has no maximum ammo capacity, but firing must be done conservatively, or else it will overheat.

Autocannon (HMG):

The HMG is the primary cannon intended for use in assault vehicles and defensive weapons. It can only be used by vehicles. The HMG provides high firepower, but a slower rate of fire. HMG is intended for light cannon calibers. (20mm, 30mm). Like the CMG and HMG, It has no maximum ammo capacity, but firing must be done conservatively, or else it will overheat. Overheat times with the autocannon are slightly lowe than the CMG and LMG.

Cannon (CAN):

The CAN is the most powerful projectile weapon available in VICE. It can only be used by vehicles. The CAN provides extremely high firepower, but has a significant reload time. CAN is intended for use in heavy cannon type weapons, such as tank turrets. CAN has no maximum ammo capacity, but firing must be careful and calculated, as the time in between reloads leaves the vehicle vulnerable.
